Jimmy Kimmel Shares Tear-Jerking Update After His 7-Year-Old’s 3rd Open Heart Surgery

Jimmy Kimmel recently took to Instagram to share a heartfelt update about his 7-year-old son, Billy, who just underwent his third open-heart surgery at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles

Kimmel posted an uplifting photo of Billy beaming with joy and shared, “This weekend, our brave boy Billy had his third (and hopefully last) open-heart surgery. We approached this experience with a mix of optimism and apprehension, but we emerged with a new valve and a happy, healthy kid!”

He expressed his gratitude to the incredible medical team, his wife, family, friends, and the supportive community, saying, “I’m so thankful to the kind strangers who took the time to pray for and send positive energy to our little one. A special thank you to my wife, Molly, for being stronger than any mom could reasonably be.”

Kimmel included a heartfelt message for Billy, saying, “You are the toughest (and funniest) 7-year-old we know. Please share your love, hearts, and prayers with those in need. And if you feel inspired, consider supporting @ChildrensLA or a wonderful children’s hospital near you.”

Friends like Carson Daly and Andy Cohen offered their supportive comments, showing their love for the family. Billy’s journey with his heart defect began at birth, and Kimmel has consistently expressed his deep gratitude for the exceptional care his son has received throughout this challenging experience.

In April, Kimmel celebrated Billy’s seventh birthday with a special fundraiser for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Alongside Billy, Kimmel and his wife, Molly, have a 9-year-old daughter named Jane. He also has two older children from a previous marriage, making their family a beautiful blend of love and support.
